In May of 2011, Brian Vasquez, master ukulele player and vocalist released his debut CD "Hawaiian Sunday" named after an originally composed song inspired by Sundays in Hawaii spent, enjoying family, friends, food and of course music. On these Sunday kanikapila or jam sessions, Brian was mentored by some of Hawaii's most talented musicians. These were the Aunties, Uncles and Cousin, some related, some not, who played for the sheer pleasure and passion of music. This set the foundation for Brian's unique ukulele finger picking style and ability to play traditional Hawaiian Music, oldies, Hawaiian contemporary sounds, a little bit of jazz, a little bit of blues, reggae and even some rap, Hawaiian style.
