Brian and his "Pupule Picking" Style!
The dictionary defines "pupule" as crazy, wild, insane. Which is exactly how he plays his ukulele! Brian Vasquez, master ukulele player was born with an ukulele in his hand and music running through his veins. His career began at age 5, when his father, Phillip Vasquez asked Brian to share his stage at the Kona Inn, in the heart of Kailua Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. Brian has been entertaining ever since. Brian's unique ukulele Pupule (crazy) Picking style has touched many visitors and locals of Hawaii alike. Brian's music is unlimited in style, but shares a common thread of intense energy. It ranges from traditional Hawaiian music, Comtemporary Island Sounds, Oldies, Latin, Raggae and even touch of Rap, all played Brian Style! Brian's new recent CD, released in May of 2011 contains 4 original songs and 8 cover songs. Most people "listen" to music, when you hear Brian Style music, it will run through your veins too! |
